Music sets the emotional tone of your wedding day—before a single word is spoken.
My role is to help your ceremony feel beautiful, calm, and deeply personal, whether your wedding is Catholic or another Christian tradition.
I work closely with each couple to choose music that fits both the structure of the ceremony and who you are.
Fee: $250
This includes:
A planning conversation to talk through your ceremony and music choices
Coordination with your celebrant or parish music staff
Attendance at the rehearsal
Live piano music for the full wedding ceremony
On the day of the wedding, my focus is simple:
helping everything feel smooth, prayerful, and unrushed.
This is one of my favorite parts of the wedding.
I like to ask couples for their favorite love songs—from any style—and then create a gentle piano medley that plays while guests arrive. It’s a beautiful way to personalize the ceremony before it officially begins.
Songs I've played in the past include: What a wonderful world (Louis Armstrong), La vie en rose, Interstellar theme, Canon in D, Bella's lullaby, She's got a way (Billy Joel)
Think about whether you’d enjoy hearing meaningful love songs woven together quietly as guests take their seats.
Below are examples of music that often works well. These are suggestions, not requirements—we’ll choose what fits your wedding.
Some ceremonies include music while the mothers are seated.
Common choices:
Ave Maria
Hail Mary: Gentle Woman
If you’re unsure whether you’re including this moment, we can decide together along with the priest or celebrant.
A steady, joyful piece that supports the entrance of the wedding party.
A popular option:
Canon in D (Modern version by the piano guys 'Pachelbel meets U2")

I can also suggest alternatives if you’d like something different.
If your ceremony includes a psalm, two commonly used settings are:
Psalm 103 – Marty Haugen

Psalm 103 – Jeanne Cotter

For Catholic weddings, we often use familiar settings such as:
Celtic Alleluia
Mass of Creation
Weddings can include a Gloria, but often do not—this is something to consider and discuss during planning.
If you’d like other options, I’m happy to suggest current settings commonly used in parish weddings.
A reflective piece during this moment.
A frequent choice:
Make Me a Channel of Your Peace
I usually suggest music that focuses on God’s love or the Eucharist, such as:
Behold the Lamb (Willett)
Bread for the World (Farrell)
Bread of Life (Cooney)
Bread of Life (Farrell)
I am the Bread of Life (Toolan)
One Bread One Body (Foley)
Table of Plenty (Schutte)
We’ll choose what best fits your community and ceremony.
Sometimes a short reflective piece is included.
Common option:
Ave Maria
Recessionals are usually not sung, but played joyfully and with energy.
Options include:
Wedding March (played boldly and celebratory) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKhrxqQVGjM
Piano improvisation on a hymn such as:
How Great Thou Art
Sing With All the Saints in Glory
I’m comfortable playing for Catholic weddings and many other Christian ceremonies, and I’m always happy to work within the guidelines of your parish or officiant.
If you’re unsure about any part of the ceremony, that’s completely normal—part of my job is helping you feel confident and at ease with the music choices.
If you’re interested in having me play for your wedding:
Reach out with your date and location
We’ll schedule a conversation to talk through your ceremony
I’ll help guide the music planning from start to finish
My goal is simple:
to help your wedding feel meaningful, personal, and beautifully supported by music.
